LET’S THROW SOME SHADE ON THE SOPAC TRAIL

Friends of The SoPac Trail is a not-for-profit organization of individuals and neighborhood associations committed to the support and development of the projects that improve The SoPac Trail. After seeking community feedback, FOTST is working to purchase a 14x14 shade umbrella structure for the SoPac Trail Respite Area. The board accepted a bid for the structure at a cost of $16,500.

In partnership with Lyda Hill Philanthropies, The LOOP Dallas, Dallas Parks & Recreation, Lakewood Trails and White Rock Neighborhood Associations we have been able to generate a current total of $13,500.

We are currently looking for sponsors and individual donors willing to help raise the final $2,500 to meet our goal. Can we count on you?

These plants were purchased from a Native Plant Society of Texas “Bring Back the Monarchs grant.” Everyone has worked very hard, including some of our younger neighbors. It has been wonderful to watch our beautiful garden flourish
