North TX Early Giving Starts NOW.

Friends of the SoPac Trail,

North Texas Giving Day giving is now open! On Thursday, September 17, 2026, Friends of the SoPac Trail will participate in Communities Foundation of Texas’ NTX Giving Day, and our goal is to raise $7,500.

Ready to roll up your sleeves? Early giving starts TODAY! Give now and help us get a jump start on our goal.

Your support helps us fulfill our mission of bringing people closer to nature, improving the trail, and creating a safe, welcoming, and refreshing experience for walkers, runners, cyclists, and, of course, our furry friends.   We are all in—and we hope you will be, too!

We are steadfast in our commitment to maintaining the SoPac Trail and improving its amenities. Your NTX Giving Day gifts directly support the volunteer work that makes these efforts possible:

  • Established two critical respite areas at key junctions along the trail.

  • Installed a new solar light to improve safety.

  • Added bridge and directional signage to help trail users navigate with confidence.

  • Remediate graffiti promptly whenever it occurs.

  • Tend the garden and care for the many trees we have planted.

  • Keep the irrigation system and drinking fountain in working order.

  • Beautifying the trail with wildflower naturalization areas.

  • Organize a monthly trash pick-up to keep the trail clean.

  • Monitor and report safety concerns to the appropriate authorities—from speeding motorized vehicles to potentially dangerous plants along the trail.

  • Launched the SoPac Trail Garden Instagram page and actively communicate with the community through Facebook, Instagram, and our website.

  • Maintain strong relationships with The Loop Dallas, Dallas Parks & Recreation, and The Dallas Trails Coalition, working together to address trail safety, maintenance, and improvements across Dallas.

That takes a lot of sweat equity—and financial support. You can count on us for the sweat equity. Can we count on you for financial support? Please support Friends of the SoPac Trail as we work to provide one of the safest, cleanest, and most enjoyable trails in the Dallas trail system.

Make your gift today and help us build momentum toward September 17!

Thank you for being a Friend of the SoPac Trail!

Sincerely,

Felix Saucedo
Chairman, Friends of the SoPac Trail Steering Committee
