🚧 COMING SOON: New Respite

Dear Friends of the SoPac Trail,

We want to thank our community again for your donations to the Friends of the SoPac Trail this year. Your support makes our trail even better.

We are fortunate to work with the Communities Foundation of Texas through North Texas Giving Day to host our ONLY annual fundraiser. Together, our Friends raised $5,000 during North Texas Giving Day 2026. These gifts moved us closer to our broader fundraising goals and strengthened our ability to serve our trail community.

Where does your money go?

  • establish new respite areas at key junctions along the trail

  • remediate graffiti promptly whenever it occurs

  • tend the garden and trees we have planted

  • maintain the irrigation system and drinking fountain

  • beautify the trail with wildflower naturalization areas

  • organize a monthly trash pick-up to keep the trail clean

In addition to your donations, we appreciate the confidence and trust you place in us, as a steering committee, to use those resources effectively to enhance our SoPac Trail. We created the Friends of the SoPac Trail in 2010, and for 16 years we have worked really hard to serve the neighborhoods that surround the trail. And thankfully, you have supported us all those years.
