It’s HERE! Friends of the SoPac Trail is participating in Communities Foundation of Texas' NTX Giving Day, and we could not be more excited!

Did you know that North Texas Giving Day is our ONLY fundraiser? So far, early giving by friends and neighbors like you has generated 36% of raising our goal of $7,500…GIVE TODAY to help us close the gap. ‍

You've seen what we've accomplished on the SoPac Trail in the past several years. Going forward, you can count on us to roll up our sleeves, invest your donations efficiently, and rally generous volunteers to get things done. Can we count on your financial support now?

We’ve got an ambitious list of projects for the future that will maintain and beautify the trail! Your NTX Giving Day gift will help make those projects a reality:

  • Established two critical respite areas at key junctions along the trail.

  • Installed a new solar light to improve safety.

  • Added directional signage to help trail users navigate with confidence.

  • Remediate graffiti promptly whenever it occurs.

  • Tend the garden and care for the many trees we have planted.

  • Keep the irrigation system and drinking fountain in working order.

  • Beautifying the trail with wildflower naturalization areas.

  • Organize a monthly trash pick-up to keep the trail clean.

  • Monitor and report safety concerns to the appropriate authorities—from speeding motorized vehicles to potentially dangerous plants along the trail.

  • Launched the SoPac Trail Garden Instagram page and actively communicate with the community through Facebook, Instagram, and our website.

  • Maintain strong relationships with The Loop Dallas, Dallas Parks & Recreation, and The Dallas Trails Coalition, working together to address trail safety, maintenance, and improvements across Dallas.
